The government of La Rioja has specifically marked a 188.8 km road route with 1,303 curves, called “The Route of the Three Valleys”, specifically for motorcycles. It covers the entire central part of the region, from the Ebro Valley and its vineyards to the highest mountain passes in the region, such as the Puerto de Montenegro at 1,592 m.
This route can be done from our home in San Román de Cameros, one of the towns it passes through. To discover the route and tell us what it’s like firsthand, our friends from “Rutas Perras” stayed with us. They made an explanatory video with tips about the route. Don’t miss it.
As our friends from Rutas Perras already do, I would like to point out that not the entire route has specific motorcycle protection; most of it is on mountain roads with varying road surfaces.
Have a good trip! 🙂
